Acting locally to achieve global results,
CCG helps businesses thrive worldwide.
10 August 2020 – The China Collaborative Group (CCG), a multicountry association of business, legal and tax advisors, has been invited to exhibit at the Third China International Import Expo (CIIE) from 5-10 November 2020 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. With professional advisors spanning more than 20 countries and special administrative regions, CCG well serves the needs of today’s global business environment.
The CIIE annual trade fair was first announced by President Xi Jinping at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in 2017, with the first Expo held in November 2018. CIIE represents a significant government action in opening the Chinese market to the world. CIIE’s mission is to provide new channels for countries and regions to do business, strengthen cooperation and promote common prosperity of the world economy and trade.
This year marks CCG’s first time participating as a CIIE exhibitor. Detached from any State platform, the group and its members will serve as welcomed guests of the People’s Republic of China. As part of the association’s exhibition, its members will deliver important information, key insights and strategic solutions related to global business at the local, national and international level.
Against the backdrop of COVID-19, multinational corporations have been forced to nimbly navigate through the coronavirus’ economic impact and emerge with a clear outlook for its future. CCG, with its far-reaching network of professional advisors, understands the complex challenges in cross-border business and its related multicultural nuances faced by today’s globally active corporations.
To this end, CCG’s corporate solutions centre on working locally to achieve global results. To this end, the association employs comprehensive approach in serving clients. This includes building solid legal, tax and accounting structures while also at the same time giving consideration to the bridging of cultural and language gaps in the whole of business investments start to finish. As a result, CCG helps businesses thrive at home and abroad while safeguarding investments wherever they lie.
Dr Roberto Gilardino, CCG Association President and Horizons Regional Partner for Asia and Additional Countries.
“Doing business in China can be easy, and with the recent reforms, foreign investment is transitioning into a new era”, says Roberto Gilardino, President of CCG Association and Horizons regional partner for Asia and additional countries. “One of the key challenges for many foreign businesses is maintaining governance of the foreign entity or mutual partnership with a China party through the ‘correct’ corporate advisors.
“The sustaining of a profitable business in China largely relies on the proper and practical implementation of laws, rules and regulations by way of sound advice from professional team with a global, multicultural perspective. At CIIE, CCG Association members aim to utilise this excellent opportunity to address complex cross-border challenges with businesses and share with them how they can apply practical solutions.”
“With the enacting of the new Foreign Investment Law from the beginning of this year and revised Negative List, sector access has significantly widened for foreign investment in China. To this end, there are ample opportunities in the rapidly growing domestic market for foreign businesses, particularly in the areas of eCommerce, finance, automotive and technology. We believe 2020 and beyond will represent a golden period for foreign investment.”
Last year CIIE attracted over 3,800 enterprises, with participation from more than 180 countries. Through CIIE, there was a total value of 71.13 billion USD in intended deals signed. This year’s CIIE boasts a larger exhibition area for enterprises at 360,000 square meters – 60,000 square meters larger than the last year.
At CIIE, CCG legal, tax and business experts to offer lean and effective solutions in support of both CIIE exhibitors and buyers. What’s more, CCG’s international team will be able to bridge the cultural and language barriers by providing professional advice in both the language and cultural manner best suited to the client.
